Arthur St. Clair Lyon (born August 1, 1876 in New York City , † June 13, 1952 in Santa Monica ) was an American fencer .
successes
Arthur Lyon took part in three Olympic Games : at the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp , he took third place with the foil team. With Henry Breckinridge , Robert Sears , Harold Rayner and Francis Honeycutt , he received the bronze medal. He finished sixth with the sword team and fifth with the saber team. He also started with the saber in the individual competition, in which he did not get past the first round. Four years later , in Paris , he missed the finals with the sword and the saber both in the individual and in the team competition. In 1928 he placed fifth with the Degen team in Amsterdam , while he was eliminated again in the preliminary round with the Saber team. Lyon was multiple national champion with the saber in the individual and also with the team.
