Francis Webster Honeycutt (born May 26, 1883 in San Francisco , † September 21, 1940 in Woodbine ) was an American foil fencer and brigadier general .
Life
Francis Honeycutt took part in the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp , where he finished third with the team. With Henry Breckinridge , Harold Rayner , Arthur Lyon and Robert Sears , he received the bronze medal. In the individual competition he reached the semi-finals. He won the US national championships several times.
Honeycutt graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1904 and spent his entire military career in the artillery . By the time he retired, he had risen to the rank of brigadier general .
