Arthur Metzger

Arthur Metzger (born February 4, 1902 ; †) was a German athlete.

He started for TV Borussia Frankfurt, Eintracht Frankfurt and MTG 1899 Mannheim . He set his personal best over 200 meters in July 1925 with 22.2 seconds in Frankfurt . A month later he also increased his personal best over 100 meters in Mannheim to 10.9 seconds. In 1928 he was with the 4 x 100 meter relay ( Ernst Geerling , Eugen Eldracher , Arthur Metzger, Hans Salz ) of SG Eintracht Frankfurt in 41.9 s German champion . In 1931 Metzger was a member of a 10-by-100-meter relay that ran a German record in 1: 46.9 minutes. In addition to the sprint, he also did high jump, his best performance in 1930 was a height of 1.80 m.
