Ernst Geerling
Ernst Geerling (born July 25, 1909 in Frankfurt am Main ; † August 18, 1971 there ) was a German athlete who was active as a sprinter around 1930. He won a total of six German championship titles: in 1929 over the 100 meters , 1928, 1931, 1932, 1936 and 1937 with the 4 x 100 meter relay . In addition, there are two runner-up championships and three 3rd places at German championships.

- Amateur Athletic Association Champion 1929 over 4 × 100 m (Team: Geerling, Wichmann, Eldracher, Salz)
- Swiss champion in 1931 over 100 and 200 m
- Setting of the world record over 100 m in 10.4 s on July 1, 1928 in Frankenthal
- Participation in the IX. Olympic Games 1932 in Los Angeles (Eliminated over 100 m (fifth in 11.1 s) and 200 m in the intermediate heat)
