The MTG Mannheim (Mannheimer Turn- und Sportgesellschaft von 1899 eV) was founded on May 15, 1899 as the Mannheimer Turngesellschaft .

1500 members are currently active in sports in the following nine departments:

• Lawn strength sports

• Table tennis
• Triathlon
• Health sport
• Handball
• Ski , board / outdoor
• American Football ( Mannheim Bandits )

The MTG Mannheim training area is located in Mannheim's Pfeifferswörth and comprises 45,000 m² of a plastic facility with six round tracks, a pitching area, a grass pitch and eight tennis courts. The Olympic base Rhein-Neckar is affiliated with an athletics hall.
