Andreas Schofer

Andreas Schofer (* 5. January 1972 in Hameln ) is a retired German athlete who on the Sprint specialized.

At the Junior World Championships in 1990 in Plovdiv he reached fifth place with the German 4 x 100 meter relay (the Federal Republic and the GDR started here separately for the last time). At the Junior European Championships in Thessaloniki the following year, he came fourth in the relay. At the U23 European Cup in 1994 in Lillehammer, the German relay team was disqualified.

In 1998 he was able to win the German championship in 39.51 s with the Mannheim 4 x 100 meter relay ( Michael Schäfer , Jérôme Crews , Andreas Schofer, Patrick Weimer ) . In addition, he ran his fastest time of 100 meters this year and was fourth in the German annual best list.

Schofer started for VfL Hameln , TV Wattenscheid 01 and MTG 1899 Mannheim .
