Arthur Nicholas Tafoya
Arthur Nicholas Tafoya (born March 2, 1933 in Alameda , USA ; † March 24, 2018 ) was an American clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Pueblo .
Life
Arthur Nicholas Tafoya was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe on May 12, 1962 .
On July 1, 1980, he was appointed third bishop of Pueblo by Pope John Paul II . The episcopal ordination received his James Vincent Casey , Archbishop of Denver , on September 10, 1980; Co- consecrators were Robert Fortune Sanchez , Archbishop of Santa Fe, and his episcopal predecessor, Charles Albert Buswell .
On October 15, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI. Tafoya's application for resignation submitted for reasons of age.
