Arthur Wuthenow
Karl Ernst Heinrich Arthur Wuthenow (born June 17, 1844 in Gützkow , † May 3, 1921 in Berlin-Lichterfelde ) was a German Protestant theologian.
Life
Karl Ernst Heinrich Arthur Wuthenow was born as the son of the Gützkower Mayor Ferdinand Wuthenow and his wife Alwine , born. Balthasar , born.
At Easter 1864 he graduated from high school in Greifswald and then studied theology. In 1877 he was appointed deacon of the Steglitz community. He supported his future father-in-law Stephani in office and on September 24, 1893 became the first Protestant pastor at the St. Matthew's Church, which was inaugurated in 1880 . In 1905 he retired and moved back to Lichterfelde .
Wuthenow was married to Clara Stephani (1848–1903), the daughter of pastor Carl Stephani (1812–1894) and his wife Marie Mulzer (1821–1878).
His grave is in the old cemetery at the Giesensdorf church . A small street near the Matthäus Church today bears the name of Arthur Wuthenow.
