Artur Petzoldt

Artur Petzoldt (born June 2, 1908 in Rheydt ; † 1972 ) was President of the Hamburg Federal Railway Directorate .

Artur Petzoldt studied law and political science in Cologne and Marburg , he passed his major legal state examination in 1934 and joined the Reichsbahn service in 1935 . In 1938 he became a research assistant in the Reich Ministry of Transport . From 1942 to 1944, Artur Petzoldt was head of human resources at the Kiev traffic department and the Brussels main traffic department . In 1944 he became a soldier. After the war , he became head of finance at the Federal Railway Directorate in Essen in 1952, and in 1960 he was an assistant in the finance department of the main administration of the Deutsche Bundesbahn in Frankfurt am Main. From 1964 to 1972 he was President of the Hamburg Federal Railway Directorate .
