Artur da Silva Bernardes
Artur da Silva Bernardes (born August 8, 1875 in Viçosa , Minas Gerais , † March 23, 1955 in Rio de Janeiro ) was a Brazilian lawyer and politician in the early twentieth century. In 1918 he was elected President of the State of Minas Gerais. He also won the election for President of Brazil in 1922 and remained in office until 1926. His reign was marked by the danger of a military coup .
