Arvid Fredborg

Arvid Fredborg (born October 8, 1915 , † January 4, 1996 ) was a Swedish journalist and foreign policy advisor.

From February 1941 to May 1943 Fredborg was the correspondent for Svenska Dagbladet in Berlin and made a name for himself by describing his impressions of the bombing war over Germany. After the war he lived in Cologne-Marienburg until 1959 , before moving to Vienna , where he worked as a foreign policy advisor.

He has been one of the most active members of the European Documentation and Information Center (CEDI) since the early 1950s . In 1961, in close cooperation with the CEDI, he founded the Institut d'Études Politiques , based in Vaduz , and later in Bendern (Liechtenstein). This institute is developing into an important international meeting place for foreign policy advisors from the conservative milieu.
