Arvo Niemelae

Arvo Niemelä (born January 17, 1909 in Loppi , † August 17, 1984 in Helsinki ) was a Finnish wrestler in the Greco-Roman style.

At the European wrestling championships in Helsinki in March 1933 , the heavyweight came in second behind Kurt Hornfischer from Germany but ahead of Carl Westergren from Sweden . Niemelae had previously defeated Westergren.

Arvo Niemelä competed for the top Finnish club Helsingin Atleettiklubi .
