Arwa-Neumarkt Valley
The Arwa-Neumarkter depression (Polish Obniżenie Orawsko-Podhalańskie ) in Poland and Slovakia is a large depression in Lesser Poland and the Arwa in the Central Western Carpathians between the Tatra Mountains in the south and the Western Beskids in the north. It lies at an altitude of approx. 500 to 1300 m above sea level. NHN . The depression is mostly mountainous with low mountain ranges that reach more than 1300 m above sea level.

The Arwa-Neumarkter Senke divides into a ditch, two mountain ranges and a basin from north to south:
- Pieniny ( Pienines )
- Kotlina Orawsko-Nowotarska ( Arwa-Podhale Basin )
- Pogórze Spisko-Gubałowskie ( Zips-Gubałówka Mountains )
- Rów Podtatrzański ( sub Tatra trench )
The eastern part of the depression drains over the Dunajec and the Vistula into the Baltic Sea , the western part over the Arwa and Danube into the Black Sea .
