Aschhausen is a district of the community Schöntal in Hohenlohekreis in Baden-Württemberg and is located in the valley of the Erlenbach , a right tributary of the Jagst , on the border of the Neckar-Odenwald district .

Aschhausen was first mentioned around 1163. The castle Aschhausen was in 13/14. Century built. From the local nobility, Gottfried von Aschhausen founded a church in 1316, which is consecrated to Saint George . In 1523 the castle was destroyed by the Swabian Federation under the leadership of Georg Truchsess von Waldburg-Zeil . At that time only the keep remained .
