history

Arnegg is first handed down in 1292. The place was created in the 12./13. Century as a castle spot of the castle of the same name. Castle and village, probably a fiefdom of the Counts of Dillingen and the Counts of Württemberg as their heirs, were owned by the Sevel family from Ulm as early as 1303/04 .

In 1338 Württemberg bought half of the castle and lordship from Konrad Seveler, the second half of which later also came to Württemberg via the Ulmian expatriates of Stein. In 1378 the castle was destroyed by the imperial city of Ulm and only rebuilt at the end of the 15th century. In 1470, Württemberg sold the Arnegg rule to the lords of Stadion , whom Nikola de Heures, husband of a Stadion’s heir, contested the rule after the Thirty Years War .

1700, the acquired German Order Coming Altshausen the basic rule of the stadium. The Teutonic Order built an office building in the village. In 1806 Arnegg came to Württemberg and was incorporated into the Blaubeuren office. In 1938 Arnegg came to the Ulm district .
