Ashley Grove (born November 20, 1990 in Rochester , New York ) is an American football player who was last under contract with Bundesliga club Herford SV in the 2014/15 season .

Career

From 2008 to 2012 Grove played with the Rochester Ravens (until 2008 Rochester Rhinos ) in the W-League . At the beginning of 2013 she was engaged in the so-called Supplemental Draft in the fifth round at position 39 by the newly founded NWSL franchise of Flash, but initially could not recommend herself for the squad with only 20 players due to NWSL regulations. Her league debut finally made Grove on June 15, 2013 against Washington Spirit as a substitute. She had slipped into the squad for this game because the offensive players Carli Lloyd , Abby Wambach and Samantha Kerr were assigned to their respective national teams. In March 2014, she took part in a trial training with the Boston Breakers , and was then firmly committed. After she was released from her employer in July 2014, she joined the Bundesliga promoted Herford SV at the beginning of September .
