Aspasia "Aspa" Lekka ( Greek Ασπασία Λέκκα , born May 26, 1989 in Ioannina ) is a Greek handball player .

Career

Lekka started at AO Ioannina in 2002 . In 2005 she moved to Anagennisi Artas , with whom she won the Greek Championship in 2006 and the Greek Cup in 2006 and 2008. After six seasons in the first division, she returned to AO Ioannina in the second division. In 2013, the 1.75 meter tall goalkeeper signed a one-year contract with the German second division club Füchse Berlin , with whom she was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga in 2013/14 .

Lekka has been a member of the Greek national team since 2007 . She took part in qualifying rounds for World and European Championships as well as the Mediterranean Games in Pescara in 2009 .

She studied mathematics at the University of Ioannina and is a business analyst by profession.
