Asios (son of Dymas)

Asios ( Greek  Ἄσιος ), the son of Dymas, is the brother of Hecabe in Greek mythology . He came from Phrygia on the Sangarios River in Bithynia . He was an uncle of the Trojan hero Hector .

Asios took part in the Trojan War . After Homer , Apollon took his form to induce Hector to fight Patroclus . Dictys Cretensis reports that Asios was killed by Aias .
