Aspach is part of the Upper Swabian community of Eppishausen .

geography

The town of Aspach is about two kilometers north of Eppishausen and is connected to the main town by a local road. To the north is the Wolfslohe forest and to the north is the Hagenbühl forest. The west and south of the place are used agriculturally as grassland and grain cultivation. The Haselbach runs to the east and the Westerbach to the west .

history

The place is first mentioned in 1465. It was laid out as an extension of Eppishausen and belonged to its parish and court. Aspach shared the change of jurisdiction with Eppishausen. At first, however, the place was apparently divided. From 1465 to 1670, the landlords were Andreas Brief, a citizen of Augsburg and the canon of Schliersee Erasmus Waltenhofer . Later the goods came to the Augsburg citizen Schöner, who in turn went to Hans Fugger the Elder. The willarian of the dean Ulrich von Rechberg was also still wealthy in Aspach. In 1540 the place passed into the rule of Kirchheim in Swabia when Hans Walther von Hürnheim bought the hamlet. The place received a chapel in 1764.
