The Hasel (also known as Haselbach , like two other rivers in the Günzburg district ) is a right tributary of the Mindel . Via this it is an indirect right tributary of the Danube in Bavaria . The river is a second-order body of water from the district boundary between the districts of Unterallgäu and Günzburg .

course

The source of the Hasel is located in the forest northeast of Zaisertshofen (municipality of Tussenhausen ) in the Unterallgäu district . From there, the almost 18 km long hazel flows in a north to north-westerly direction to the confluence with the Mindel south of Thannhausen . The height difference between the source and the mouth is 130 m. The Westerbach flows into the Hasel at the village of Haselbach ( Eppishausen municipality , Unterallgäu district) . From the source to Haselbach, the Hasel flows through the Augsburg-Westliche Wälder Nature Park on its southwestern edge.

The Kleine Flossach , which branches off from the Flossach near Derndorf, flows through the Mindelrieder Paradies nature reserve and connects the Flossach with the Hasel.

Localities

Locations that are located on the Hasel are:
in the Unterallgäu district : Eppishausen, Weiler and Haselbach (all: Eppishausen municipality)
in the Günzburg district : Balzhausen and Nettershausen (town of Thannhausen )
