Asplanchna priodontata is a species of the genus Asplanchna from the tribe of the rotifers (Rotatoria).
features
The footless animal is transparent and sack-shaped (name!). The ovary is spherical.
ecology
The rotifer is common in planktonic lakes. The animal feeds on blue-green algae, diatoms and other plankton.
