Depending on the species, the animals are 420 µm-2500 µm in size, blistered omnivores and mostly completely transparent. Your jaws are swung outward to grasp the prey. The feet, intestines and anus are absent, so undigested food is vomited up . Asplanchna have two small red eyes facing the brain . The wheel organ has developed back into a field of eyelashes.

The males are only about 300 µm in size, have no digestive system , live only a short time and consist almost entirely of their testicles .
