Assenka Chadschiewa ( Bulgarian Асенка Хаджиева , English transcription Asenka Hadzhieva ; born October 12, 1988 in Smoljan ) is a Bulgarian biathlete .

Asenka Chadschiewa is a student who lives in Smolyan and trains in Chepelare . She starts for the sports club of Chepelare and is coached by Diana Chadschiewa. She has been practicing her sport since 1998 and has been a member of the Bulgarian national team since 2003. She has been competing in the Junior European Cup since 2004, in 2005 she ran her first Junior World Championship in Kontiolahti and 63rd in the individual and 61st in the sprint. It was not until the 2007 Junior World Championships in Martell that Chadschiewa was used again in a major event. The best result in Italy was a 27th place in the sprint. The home junior European championship in Bansko did not bring any better results, neither did the junior world championship 2008 in Ruhpolding , where eleventh place with the Bulgarian relay was the best result. At the Junior European Championship in Nové Město na Moravě this place was improved by one rank.

Chadschiewa made her adult debut in 2007 as part of the European Biathlon Cup . In the very poorly attended competitions in Bansko, Bulgaria, the Bulgarian was eighth in the sprint and sixth in the pursuit. The first major event was the 2008 Biathlon World Championships in Östersund . There she came in 91st place in the sprint. She did not finish her individual race, and the planned race in the Bulgarian relay did not materialize.
