Assipowitschy ( Belarusian Асіповічы ; Russian Осиповичи Ossipowitschi ) is a city in the Republic of Belarus in the Mahiljouskaja Woblasz with around 35,000 inhabitants.
geography
The city is located in the center of the country on the road from Minsk to Homel a good 50 kilometers northwest of Babruysk . The Swislatsch River , which has been expanded into a reservoir here, runs north of Assipowitschy .
