Astún is a Spanish town and well-known winter sports area below the Somport in the western Pyrenees . It belongs to the municipality of Jaca in the province of Huesca in the autonomous community of Aragon . The Aragón River has its source in the area .

Ski Area

Astún is one of the most modern ski areas in the Pyrenees. There are a total of 41 kilometers of marked slopes. The highest point is the peak La Raca with 2350 m. It has vertical slopes with a height of up to 650 m.

The base of the ski area is a purpose-built location at an altitude of 1700 m, which houses various hotels and apartments. From here the main chairlifts go directly to the ski slopes. The ski area includes two different high valleys: one is the La Raca - Sarrios area and the other is the Truchas area . Each of these areas can be reached from the base station with chairlifts.

Almost all lifts in the area are modern and can carry a high capacity. There are:
