The Astachow Glacier is a glacier in the north of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located immediately south of the Tschugunow Glacier in the Explorers Range of the Bowers Mountains and flows northeast of Mount Hager to Ob 'Bay , which it reaches immediately west of the Platypus Ridge .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and with the help of aerial photographs by the United States Navy between 1960 and 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after Pyotr Astakhov, a Soviet exchange scientist at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in 1967.
