Mount Hager is a 2420 m high mountain in the north of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Explorers Range of the Bowers Mountains, it rises 10 km west of Mount Cantello .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own surveys and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1960 and 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after the American geophysicist Clarence Lloyd Hager Jr. (* 1931), who of 1967 to 1968 worked at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station .
