KMC Astana Motors ( Russian Астана Моторс ) is the largest automobile dealer in Kazakhstan , based in Nur-Sultan (Astana until 2019). Astana Motors sells Toyota , Subaru , Hyundai , BMW and Nissan vehicles through its dealerships .

history

The company was founded in 1992 and sold vehicles for the Japanese car manufacturer Toyota . The following year, Astana Motors opened the first Toyota vehicle repair shop. In 1997 the first branch was opened in the Kazakh capital, Astana.

In 2001 the contract for the delivery of Subaru vehicles was signed with Fuji Heavy Industries . In the following year the “Subaru Center Kazakhstan” was opened.

Astana Motors became the official sales partner of the Hyundai Motor Company in Kazakhstan in 2003 . In Almaty , the "Toyota Center Almaty" and in the same year Qostanai another dealership opened. In 2004 further branches were opened in Aqtau , Aqtöbe , Atyrau , Qaraghandy , Öskemen and Schymkent . Astana Motors' share of the Kazakhstan auto market rose to over 30 percent.

By taking over the competitor "Autocenter-Bavaria", the company became a sales partner for the German car manufacturer BMW in Kazakhstan. New car dealerships were also created in Pavlodar and Petropavl . In 2007 a car dealership was opened in Kyzylorda .

In 2008, Astana Motors added Nissan vehicles to its range.
