Franz Pogge

Franz Pogge (born July 24, 1827 in Striesenow ; † March 8, 1902 in Alt Krassow ; full name: Franz Ernst Otto Pogge ) was a manor owner from the Mecklenburg family Pogge and a member of the Reichstag .

Franz Pogge was the younger son of the manor owner Johann Pogge (1793–1854) and his wife Luise, née. Behm (1799–1882), born. He attended the Putbus pedagogy and the Rostock University . In 1849 he took part in the Baden campaign and in 1850 in the Schleswig-Holstein campaign. Since 1851 farmer and manor owner in Blankenhof near Neubrandenburg . In 1867 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Mecklenburg Landtag, and from 1867 to 1871 he was a member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation . From 1871 to 1878 and from 1881 to 1884 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the National Liberal Party and the constituency of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.

Franz Pogge was an older brother of Hermann Pogge , who was also a member of the Reichstag.
