Pomeranian branch
Hans Pogge's grandson, Carl-Heinrich Pogge (1720–1785), founded the Pomeranian branch of the Pogge tribe when he moved to Greifswald . His son was the merchant and important coin collector Carl Friedrich Pogge (1752-1840).
Descendants
The Mecklenburg Pogges left Mecklenburg almost without exception in 1945. In the old federal states there are still numerous descendants, but only three bearers of this family's name. However, the family has numerous descendants (including namesake) in Great Britain and the USA, as well as the Pomeranian Pogges.
Common ancestors with the Pogges, who originally sat in Westphalia ( Salzkotten ) and now live in the Rhineland, cannot be proven.
