Catherine Ann Berger

Catherine Ann Berger (* 1965 in St. Gallen ) is a Swiss film dramaturge and film critic.

Catherine Ann Berger grew up bilingually in Bern (English, Swiss German / German) and studied film and theater studies at the University of Vienna .

After completing her studies, she worked as a documentary editor for Swiss television , and from 1997 to June 2003 she presented the program Kulturzeit on 3sat . Her training as a script consultant took place in Berlin, Stuttgart and Leipzig, among others. She was assistant dramaturge for the film Im Nordwind and worked on the script for Die Herbstzeitlosen (both directors: Bettina Oberli ).

She works as a freelance film dramaturge and author (framing words) and critic for Kino Aktuell , the film magazine of Swiss television (replaced by Box Office in 2009 ). Since 2006 she has been a member of the Theater Commission of the City of Zurich .

Catherine Ann Berger has been Director of Swiss Films since May 2013 .
