Astrid Harzbecker
Astrid Harzbecker (born December 8, 1965 in Riesa ) is a German composer , lyricist and singer of popular hits . She has been married to the church musician, composer and arranger Hans-Jürgen Schmidt since 1989 .
Life
Harzbecker began training in singing , guitar and piano at an early age , but after finishing school ( EOS Max-Planck) she initially worked in steel production. From 1985 she studied modern dance and light music at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig , where she graduated as a music teacher.
In 1991 she took part in the Herbert Roth Festival with the song Oh Maria, protect the mountains, which she wrote herself . In 1992 Harzbecker received the Folk Music Crown as the best young singer . Because of her characteristic voice, she is occasionally compared to the singer Alexandra ; she has added successful titles from her ( gypsy boy ) to her repertoire.
In 1996 she took part in the preliminary round of the 1996 Grand Prix of Folk Music with the song Gondoliere, which she wrote herself ; In 2000 she won the German preliminary round with the title Wie eine Schöne Sinfonie .
The singer is one of the most successful interpreters of popular hits. She is a frequent guest on various popular television and radio events.
