Atães is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .

Atães belongs to the Guimarães county in the Braga district . The community had an area of ​​6.8 km² and 1910 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

On September 29, 2013, the parishes of Atães and Rendufe merged to form the new parish União das Freguesias de Atães e Rendufe .
