at-Taftāzānī

Saʿd ad-Dīn Masʿūd ibn ʿUmar ibn ʿAbdallah at-Taftāzānī ( Arabic سعد الدين مسعود بن عمر التفتازاني; born 1322 in Taftāzān, a village in Khorasan ; died 1390 in Samarkand ) was an Islamic theologian, logician, legal scholar and Koran exegete. In terms of dogmatics, he belonged to the high school graduate school.

Works

  • at-Talwīḥ fī kašf ḥaqāʾiq at-Tanqīḥ , also known as Šarḥ at-Talwīḥ ʿalā 't-tauḍīḥ li-matn at-Tanqīḥ fī uṣūl al-fiqh , is a super commentary on the work at-Tanqīḥ īuṣ' l- by ʿUbaidullāh al-Maḥbūbī (d. 1346), who deals with Islamic legal theory. At-Taftāzānī's commentary is designed in such a way that it appears like an independent text. He completed the work in Turkistan in 1358 . The two-volume Beirut edition of the work is available on archive.org .
  • Šarḥ al-Maqāṣid , theological work in which he refers, among other things, to the injustice done to the Ahl al-bait , the family of the Islamic prophet Mohammed , and writes that no one can hide that an injustice has happened to them.
