Ateliers Hafenstrasse

Ateliers Hafenstraße is a studio community of freelance illustrators , authors and graphic artists , located at Hafenstraße 64 at the old freight yard in Münster .

history

In 2006, Cornelia Haas, Günther Jakobs , Christiane Leesker, Daniel Napp , Christine Nippoldt (Lilli L'Arronge), Robert Nippoldt , Stephan Pricken, Tina Schulte and Alexander Steffensmeier founded the studio group “Ateliers Hafenstraße” and jointly rented office space in a former railway building . More designers and illustrators joined in over the next few years, others moved on. Today (as of 10/2018) work in the studio community alongside the founding members: Jan Altehenger, Lars Baus, Julia Buschmann, David Ehlert, Anna Fuchsgruber, Cathy Ionescu, Vanessa Jansen, Saskia Kunze, Duniel Niehaus, Dirk Reinhardt and Christian Trick.

Over the years, more than 500 books have been created on the studio floor, which have been translated into 28 languages, mostly from the children's, youth and non-fiction areas. Every year there is a joint exhibition on the grounds at Hafenstrasse 64, combined with an open day and a studio party.
