Atle Næss

Atle Næss (born March 25, 1949 in Mysen ) is a Norwegian writer.

Life

Næss grew up in Askim and has been a cand.philol. In the subjects of English, linguistics and Norwegian since 1976. Until 1987 he worked as a teacher at the secondary school in Asker , in Odense, Denmark (for Norwegian), in Frydenberg and at the Østfold University .

Naess currently lives in Ski and Kråkerøy . His daughter is the linguist Åshild Næss , with whom he wrote the book Et hav av språk .

His debut novel in 1975 was the love story Gun . So far, four works have been translated into German, including a biography about Galileo and a novel about the mathematician Bernhard Riemann . His books have been translated into a total of ten languages.
