The Achishcho ( Russian Ачишхо́ ) is a mountain range and its highest point in the western Caucasus in the south of the Russian region of Krasnodar .
The Achishcho is located 10 km northwest of the winter sports resort Krasnaya Polyana . It has a height of 2391 m . The mountain range consists of mica slate and tuff rock . It has distinctive pre-ice age landscapes and lakes. The annual precipitation is 3000 mm. The Msymta flows along the southern flank .
