Attila Bozay [ ˈɒtilːɒ ˈbozɒi ] (born August 11, 1939 in Balatonfűzfő , † September 14, 1999 in Northern Hungary) was a Hungarian composer .
Bozay studied from 1957 to 1962 at the University of Music in Budapest with Ferenc Farkas and at the Conservatory with István Szelényi . He then taught at the music school in Szeged and worked for the Hungarian radio from 1963 to 1966. Since then he has lived as a freelance composer in Budapest. From 1979 to 1998 he taught at the Music Academy and from 1990 to 1993 he was director of the National Philharmonic .
Bozay composed a. a. an opera ( Csongor and Tünde , 1985), a series for chamber ensemble (1970), a symphonic piece, a viola concerto , chamber music works, a song cycle and a motet cycle .
