The Attleboro Springs Wildlife Sanctuary is a 117  acres (47.3  ha ) large reserve in Attleboro in the state of Massachusetts of the United States . It is administered by the Massachusetts Audubon Society .

Protected area

The former park of a sanatorium is now covered with natural vegetation again and offers a habitat for birds living in forest areas in particular. A total of 3 mi (4.8  km ) of hiking trails are available to visitors to the protected area  , of which a partial area of ​​0.5 mi (0.8 km) is barrier-free . Among other things, you will pass a red maple swamp and an outcrop with the regionally occurring rock conglomerate roxbury puddingstone .
