Aubauer is a district of the Upper Swabian community of Kronburg in the Unterallgäu district in Bavaria . The wasteland is about four kilometers northwest of the main town and is connected to the neighboring towns of Ferthofen and Kardorf via municipal roads. To the west of the homestead in the lower Illergries runs the state border of Bavaria with the Iller , to the east is the Vorderwald , south of the homestead is a smaller wooded area. The remaining areas are mainly used for agriculture.

The wasteland was first mentioned in 1602 and belonged to the municipality of Kardorf. In the court description of the Rot an der Rot monastery from 1723, the splendid half-timbered building from the 15th century is named as St. Sebastian's estate.
