Oberbinnwang is a village in the Kronburg municipality in the Unterallgäu district in Bavaria .

The village of Oberbinnwang is located around three kilometers southeast of Kronburg, at an altitude of 654 m above sea level. NN . The river Iller runs about 500 meters south and 900 meters west of Oberbinnwang .

history

In 1435 a farm (house name Gretz ) was sold by the prince monastery of Kempten to the Lords of Uttenried. The lords of Rothenstein and Pappenheim had possessions in Oberbinnwang in the 16th century. In 1553 the sale of two farms in Oberbinnwang from HJ von Bubenhofen to his brother-in-law Jerg von Rechberg is handed down. HJ von Bubenhofen had received the goods through his wife of a born Marschallin von Pappenheim. Later on, the estates and farms were acquired by the Lords of Kronburg or enfeoffed by the Prince of Kempten.
