Auckland International

The Auckland International are open international championships of New Zealand in badminton . After the New Zealand Open, they are the most important badminton tournament in New Zealand, a country with a badminton tradition that goes back to the beginning of the 20th century. In 2009 the tournament was part of the Future Series of the Badminton World Federation , which meant that points for the world rankings and prize money could also be earned at this tournament.
