The Audi Le Mans Quattro has a number of modern features such as LED headlights . The frame made of sheet metal and partly bent extruded parts made of aluminum ( Audi Space Frame, ASF) is the same as that of the Lamborghini Gallardo . The body is made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic and aluminum. The car has an electronically controllable rear wing that adjusts from a speed of 110 km / h.
The engine of the Le Mans quattro is based on that of the Gallardo. The displacement is the same at 5.2 liters, but it has different cylinder heads , two turbochargers connected in parallel and stratified charge , i.e. the gasoline is injected directly into the cylinder, where it is distributed unevenly in a targeted manner (FSI, Fuel Stratified Injection). The engine has an output of 449 kW (610 hp), the maximum torque is 750 Nm. The manual six-speed gearbox is the same as in the Gallardo.
