Audiograbber is a CD-Ripper - software for ribs and converting of audio signals . Author Jackie Franck previously for programming the AudioCatalyst of RealNetworks responsible.

The program was initially marketed as shareware . It is currently offered either as freeware (without MP3 encoding) bundled with adware that is difficult to uninstall , or as purchase software. In the case of the freeware version, adware and other software products are also installed, which may be undesirable.

Functions

The extracted audio data can be encoded in formats such as WAV , WMA or Vorbis and stored on the hard drive . Any additional external encoder that has command line functionality can also be integrated . The enclosed Fraunhofer MP3 encoder, on the other hand, can only be used at very low bit rates for licensing reasons .
