Auf der Alm, there is no sin is a German silent film fun play from 1915 by Rudolf Biebrach with Henny Porten in the lead role.
action
Käte Hannemann travels to the mountains to relax with her indulgent father, a regional judge, and her grouchy, morally strict aunt Malchen. Since Kate is a tomboy and is always concocting pranks, her father is forced to call his daughter to order and to impose a punishment: She has to stay at home on the next trip to the highlands. Kate is not at all wrong and uses the time to hike with the local Kathl to the alpine pasture to help her there with the daily work of a mountain farmer, such as milking cows and making cheese. The “Prussian” city dweller is quite clumsy, but Kathl has an angelic patience.
Only when the Bavarian has the feeling that Kate is trying to steal the bua of her heart does she get rather uncomfortable and the two women quarrel. Up until now there was “no sin” on the Alm, but that should change the moment the young judge Walter Kreuznach appears there. This city dweller is also looking for relaxation and peace far away from the noisy metropolis. After some very unpleasant experiences up there, however, the young man decides to go back down into the valley earlier than planned. Even the best time goes by, and besides that, my dad and strict aunt are sure to be waiting in the valley. And so Kate climbs back down to her own.
Back in his hometown, the trainee lawyer Kreuznach begins his service with his new superior judge Hannemann. How can he also suspect that this is the father of the girl from the mountain pasture whom he thought was a real alpine cow girl? In any case, Käte has a lot of fun confusing the young man, who she is increasingly liking, with her role-play - sometimes town maid, sometimes peasant girl. The young man thinks he is losing his mind, and Kate takes care of a cheerful resolution of this confusion. Eventually she and the young man become a couple.

criticism
“We haven't been able to admire a more charming comedy than this for a long time. Henny Porten is again of delightful charm and delights with her simple and natural humor. However, the plot of the film is also extraordinarily well chosen and the main actress is formally tailored to the body. "
