In good German

In good German , Wochenschrift für Ord und Recht was an anti-Semitic weekly that was published by the journalist and co-founder of the NSDAP , Dietrich Eckart, with the help of the early Nazi ideologues Alfred Rosenberg and Gottfried Feder in the Hoheneichen-Verlag .

The newspaper first appeared in December 1918 and was the spokesman for anti-Semitic sentiments in this early phase of the Nazi movement. The main focus was the demand for a break in bondage , the prohibition of racial mixed marriages and the protest against the Versailles Peace Treaty . The newspaper distinguished itself through its particularly open anti-Semitism.

After Eckart had expressed himself euphorically in Auf gut deutsch about the murder of Matthias Erzberger , the newspaper was banned by the Reich government. This ban was initially described by the Bavarian state government as interference in internal affairs and was not implemented.

The newspaper ceased to appear in 1921. Eckart became editor-in-chief of Völkischer Beobachter , the party organ of the NSDAP , in August of this year .
