August Albes (actor)

August Albes (also: August Ludwig Albes and Ludwig Albes ; * 3. April 1822 in Hannover , † 1900 ) was a German opera singer and yard - actor . He was one of the oldest theater families in Germany.

Life

Similar to the music director and bailiff Karl Wilhelm Albes before him , who later became bailiff in Meinersen's office , August Albes , the court actor of the royal seat of the Kingdom of Hanover , joined the Johannis Masonic lodge Zum Schwarzen Bär in the Orient of Hanover in 1774 on January 6, 1842 . A few years later, on December 10, 1846, Albes' son, the later actor and comedian Georg Albes, was born.

In June 1865 the actor and opera singer stayed with his family and his sister Johanna Albes from Meinersen, according to a health resort list published for Bavaria, with a total of 7 people in Kissingen .
