August Christian Hinrich Becker

August Christian Hinrich Becker (born August 6, 1824 in Hanover ; † May 21, 1887 in Hamburg ) was a German businessman .

Life

Becker founded in 1851 along with Ludwig Wilhelm Gerhard Becker in Hamburg a Engros -Tuch-, agency and commission income, which under the name & Aug Gerh. Becker traded. He left the company in 1868.

He served in the Hamburg citizen military . From 1856 to 1859 Becker was second major and from 1859 to 1865 first major of the 3rd Battalion , of which he was chief from 1862 to 1865.

Becker belonged to the Hamburg citizenship from 1859 to 1862 and 1865 to 1868 . He was a member of the central commission for general direct elections.
