August Friedrich Moritz Anton
August Friedrich Moritz Anton (born August 26, 1798 in Wittenberge , † December 21, 1868 in Halberstadt ) was a German educator.
Life
Moritz Anton had the opportunity to attend the Joachimsthalsche Gymnasium under Bernhard Moritz Snethlage (1753-1840) from 1812 to 1816 . He then studied theology and languages in Halle. At the age of 21 he became a teacher at the Latin secondary school in Halle. In 1822 he was appointed adjunct at the Roßleben monastery school . He was a talented teacher, worked as a teacher of mathematics, Latin and Hebrew and was the rector of this traditional school from 1844 to 1866.
