August Grosse ( 1825 - 1902 ) was a German theater director and director .

Life

August Grosse opened the theater in Basel, spent seven years in Görlitz as theater director and four years in Chemnitz, headed the theaters in Neustrelitz, Sondershausen, Rudolstadt and Posen, which were first built and then opened by him. He then went to the Augsburg Theater as the successor to Moritz Krüger (with whom he was personally friends) . Grosse concluded his contract for Augsburg by telegram, also on the express written recommendation of Ernst Possart . At the end of the 1882 season he gave the line to Louis Ucko due to financial difficulties .
